The Best Chicken Chop in Town. According to owner named Robin Jian, the shop has operated
since 1955 and it is about 60 years of history. Chef Tan Yin Xiang was a chef in Singapore. About 15 years ago, his friend strongly recommended him to come and try out this hainanese style chicken chop in Johor Bahru. After the first try on it, we could not forget the taste of this chicken chop and even offered himself on the spot to be the chef of this shop. He reminisced, his request was not accepted immediately by the boss. Nevertheless, after sometime, one of the chef's resigned and he got the chance of being employed as there was vacancy. With that, he started off his journey of cooking hainanese style chicken chop. He was being very frank seems the time he joined the chef's, he was intensely amazed by the senior chef perseverance in that secret recipe of preparing the chicken chop. However, after his continuous diligence he was being promoted as the chief chef there. Besides of strictly following his seniors way of cooking and referring to customers demands, he experimented out todays hainanese chicken chop. He also replaced habitual and traditional side dish with vegetables to fit in the taste of youngster nowadays. He even said that his customers are his best teachers along the way. Hainanese chicken chop transformed with extreme reducing oily level to its perfection on the thickness of the chicken chop and its sauces. This has made its Hainanese chicken chop the banner of this shop.
